My 2nd San Martin, looks and feel really good. Only downside is the threading on the crown, feels a bit.. Unsafe? To screw in, almost like its crosstreading but not a deal breaker by any means. The PT5K runs smoothly and is Pretty accurate, have not timegraphe’d it but whould say maybe 5-10sek fast/day. This Will not be my last SM! Very good comunication also, as always with SM.

Absolutely blown away by the quality and finish on this watch. Really good value for money. I am also pleased to see the San Martin listen to their customers and changed the crown logo which further enhances this watch. The only change I would ask San Martin to make is to release this watch in a gold and stainless finish with Cristal on the dials – now that would be something special!

beautiful MOP dial and near flawless fit and finish. the only thing I woild change is the frame around the date window. otherwise the watch is perfect.

I LOVE the the dial, the hands, the indices, the bezel, and I am SO impressed with the overall quality of 99% of the parts of this watch. I do WISH SM had tighter tolerances around mounting the date magnifier. Mine is noticeably low and left. I reached out to SM customer service and sent them photos and they’ve assured me that the way it is mounted is “within standards” and totally normal for them. They have told me that their watchmaker reviewed the photos I sent in and that the watchmaker “sees no problem.” Fast replies from customer service. They were kind enough also to offer for me to return the watch for a refund because it “doesn’t meet my high standards” but I’ve chosen to keep it because as I said, other than the misplaced date magnifier, it’s PERFECT! I’m sure they’re right and most people won’t even notice something like that, and if you happen to be bothered by it, you won’t mind taking it to a local watchmaker to install a new crystal, a small inconvenience truly.

Amazing, beautiful watch.

My only complaint is that the crown is a bit too small – the PT5000 and ETA2824 clones are a bit hard to handwind compared to other movements – there’s more resistance – which makes winding with such a small crowd a bit tough.

Still 5/5, great value for the money.
